Jamie Hepburn - You Spin me right round baby

Nae bad MSP
Nae bad Motion.

The fact remains that to be strictly non biased for a second, I don't think Cumbernauld is the nicest of places (too many roundabouts). Also, I have checked out the song on YouTube, and its woeful, with only 812 views. Rock on!

Short Title: Cumbernauld: A Love Song
S3M-02895 Jamie Hepburn (Central Scotland) (SNP): That the Parliament
congratulates singer-songwriter Carolyn McGoldrick on the release of her single, Cumbernauld: A Love Song; notes that money raised from sales of the song will be donated to young persons’ cancer charity CLICSargent; believes that the song reflects the positive outlook that residents of Cumbernauld have for the future of their town, and encourages people across Scotland to buy a copy of the single in support of both Cumbernauld and CLICSargent.

Last time I checked (a while ago now to be honest) Jamie was the only MSP to support Christine Grahame's motion to dig up Mary Queen of Scots and 'repatriate' her.

Hepburn is a clown

And yet it meant he secured coverage in the local newspaper (see http://www.cumbernauld-news.co.uk/entertainment/For-the-love-of-Cumbernauld.4711448.jp) which is actually read by real people who actually are his constituents unlike the authors of this website.

Pretty good coverage for a "clown"!

Despite Hepburn standing against a no-mark MSP in Cathie Craiggie and despite having a small majority to overcome with a national swing on his side, he failed to take the seat. That's why the guy is a clown.

And this statement is why you are an idiot.

while I cant agree Jamie is a clown, he is a list MSP so as a consequence we cant be expected to read all newspapers which concern his "constituents", as that extensive lists is:
Bo'ness Journal
Falkirk Advertiser
Falkirk Herald
Airdrie & Coatbridge Advertiser
Bellshill Speaker
Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Advertiser
Cumbernauld News & Kilsyth Chronicle
Motherwell Times & Bellshill Speaker
Wishaw Press
East Kilbride News
Hamilton Advertiser
Lanark Gazette & Carluke Gazette
Rutherglen Reformer
Strathaven Echoes

Why did Jamie drop his support for GARL?

In November 2008 Jamie wrote:
"The Glasgow Crossrail and East End Extension are of importance not just for 2014 but for the whole Central Scotland region".
This was in his response to Transport Scotland Consultation on Initiatives Related to the Scotrail Franchise Extension
November 2008

Yet, here he is attempting to drum up support for opening a brand new station at Abronhill and even claiming things are "on track" (Cumbernauld News).

Can Jamie please explain himself?
